The Oceanside Police Department lobby hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
During these hours of operation, the front desk is staffed by Community Service Officers to assist members of the public in filing a crime report, providing assistance with law enforcement-related questions, and furnishing referral information to a variety of social and supportive services. Members of the community may schedule both livescan and ink fingerprinting appointments. Records Department staff are available to assist with vehicle releases as well as other Police records-related matters.
Additionally, the Police Department offers online reporting of nonpriority property-related criminal matters in which there is no evidence, injuries, or known suspects. This service is free and is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The online report will be reviewed and processed by a Police Department supervisor within five business days, with an acknowledgement and response sent to the sender’s email address. A copy of the report may be printed out at no charge. Should you not have access to a computer, please feel free to visit our courtesy computer kiosk in the Police Department lobby to submit your online report.
